Our story
A family pizzeria, run like one
No corporate kitchen, no shortcuts. Just a family owned pizzeria in The Hammocks that makes everything itself and closes its doors one day a week to prove it means that.
Family owned, made in house
If it's on the menu, we made it
The dough is mixed and stretched here. The sauce is simmered here. Even the dressings on the salads are our own recipe, homemade and bottled to take home. Our wings come in seven flavors, and every one of them is made in house, not shipped in pre-sauced.
That is the whole philosophy. If we can make it ourselves, we do.
Closed Mondays
A day off is a feature, not an apology
"As a family owned business, we value time together. Starting this week, Steve's will be closed on Mondays." That's the note we posted to our own Instagram, and we meant every word of it. A pizzeria that's actually family owned should act like one.
The mural everybody poses in front of
Somewhere along the way, the painted pizza slice and wings mural on our dining room wall, crown and all, became the photo every team and every school group wants before they leave. Championship teams line up in front of it. Regulars bring their kids back to take the same photo their older siblings took.
It is a small thing, but it is ours, and it is real.
Showing up for the neighborhood
Being family owned means the neighborhood is family too. A couple of the ways we try to show that.
500+ sandwiches
We spent a day making and bagging over 500 sandwiches for the Miami Rescue Mission.
Holiday toy drive
Every holiday season, our dining room turns into a drop-off point for a toy drive we run for local kids.
Come see us in The Hammocks
Dine in under the mural, grab a pickup order, or have it delivered. We're in the strip plaza on SW 88th St, open every day but Monday.
